I cut my CP tmolding slots with a table saw. Need Help
Demon-Seed:
Hello
I had no slots on my control panel for tmolding, so my construction brother used a table say! It actually worked well.... the only thing is it is a tad too wide....so I need to glue the tmoulding... what type of glue should one use? panel is wood.
thanks
JIM
paigeoliver:
You might have to nail it in with thin little nails actually.
photorock:
Glue (carpenters glue I think) the slot and like paigeoliver said nail it. Probable the best aproach is to test fit the t-molding first, then apply glue to the grove, finally shot a staple or nail/s at one end apply the t-molding keeping it tight and lastly shot another staple or nail into the other end. That should do it until the glue dries.
paigeoliver:
Yes, to be more specific, put wood glue in yr slot, then nail the molding in, on the back, stretch it around the panel as tight as you can, then nail it in again in back on the other side. Leave the nails.
From my experience at least half the games I buy will have nails holding in t-molding SOMEWHERE on the cabinet, it is a common repair.
menace:
squirt hot glue in the slot as you push it in around corners and a little on the straight-aways--will hold it just fine.
