I've been folowing your continuing saga of building a cab. I see you ask a lot of questions, the same type of questions I will probably have. A lot of people have given great advice. The only thing is once you finish a step you move on to the next question, but you never post a message telling us what solution you chose or how you did it. Or maybe you do and I can't find it? Anyway how about letting us in on how you cut your plexi (or did you go to a glass shop?), how did you cut your artwork? How did you attach your smoked glass? etc etc.. I'm just curious how the suggesstions posted here are working out for you.

Thanks.

WE NEED CLOSURE.

Wow, I'm really happy that there are people actually interested in how my cabinet is turning out!

I've been taking pictures (not a ton, but quite a bit) and I'm in the process of making a nice website with some useful information.  I'm not going to cover "how to build a cabinet" because there are lots of step-by-step tutorials -- instead I'm going to document every problem I've encountered with links to my threads here on BYAOC.  I'm also going to have a section "If I only knew..." (what I wish I knew before I started the project).

Everybody on this forum has been INCREDIBLY helpful and there would be absolutely, positively, no way I would have been able to do it without the help of so many people.

If ANYBODY needs any help I'd be more than happy to do what I can.  I'm going to be a part of this community for a long time (like it or not! :)) so hopefully I can give back what everybody's given to me...

I'll bump this thread up to the top once the website is done along with a thread in the Project Announcements forum.

For now, here's a couple of teaser shots of how the project is turning out:

Only thing left is my control panel.  Last night I started cutting my plexiglass and so far it's going well...  I'll keep you updated though!  :)

Sofakng,
Where'd you get those speaker covers?  I bought some that are not going to work and the ones you have look like they'd do the trick.

Hey Sofakng

Nice cabinet and coin door!  Did the sheet metal nibbler help solve the drop hole offset problem on the coin door?

Mike
