Crazy Kong Junior (PICTURES ADDED)

RayB:
I'm curious if all that pink used to be RED. Sunlight can wreak havoc on red dyes and paints...

And DUMP THE ROMS. There's nothing to "think about".

g1275:
the t-molding is pink even underneath so the odds it was once red are doubtful, but then again, the odd some one would think that pink looked appealing was also very doubtful.

Not trying to be a party pooper here, but whats the big deal with this game? Like the first Crazy Kong, its just a crummy bootleg of an existing game. Colors are different, music is mangled, and levels are in a different order.

Sure, I'd like to see it MAME'd just for archival sake, but it's not like we're seeing anything rare in the context of the Atari prototypes.
It's doubtful this machine is even as valuable as a real DK Jr to a collector. ???

I agree I don't think it's that valuable.  And I'm wondering why it has Donkey Kong artwork, instead of Jr.

Robin:
Please dump the roms !

Greetings robin :o

The cabinet/Roms are valuable just due to the rarity.  How many DK cabinets were made, and how many DKjr cabinets were made?  Plenty.  Now if this was a moon patrol that had been painted black and a cheesy bootleg marquee shoved in the slot, it would be different... but this one is well done.  Now I'm not saying that it is not a conversion, but it's got sideart, marquee and funky t-molding, bezel, the whole bit.  How many of these things can there be floating around?
Hell, I'd give him a good buck for it if, and I didn't ever much like DK jr.

Funny thing, there are a lot of people that I have come across in my dealings, that like/remember Crazy Kong more than the original DK.  You could do that coolio cheat in CK that you couldn't in the original, and these things get their own subculture/following.  Don't dismiss the clones so easily.
