Carriage Bolt Size?

(1/3) > >>

JAMMA Guy:
What size carriage bolts do most control panel overlays (plexiglass) use? (I'm thinking 5/16-18 x 1" ... does that sound right  ??? )

Ken Layton:
Whoa! That's way too big.  :o

Normal carriage bolts on commercial arcade machines are 3/16" diameter x 1-1/2" long. The 3/16" diameter bolts are threaded to 10-24 threads.

JustMichael:
If you can't find any bolts that are 3/16" (most places go down to 1/4"), you might want to check with Bob Roberts.

whammoed:
If you can't find any and don't want to buy 100 from happ like i did, I can sell you some of my leftovers at cost.  They are the black oxide ones(black in color) they are #10 and 1 1/2 inches long

fredster:
Yep, I second Ken.  It's 3/16" - 1" to 1-1/4" long depending on the CP.
