And besides, it's not like he was saying that you had to use it. I doubt that it's a product that was designed with intent for you to use on your arcade cabinet. It was probably designed for people who have to store their computer out of reach and need a simple way to turn their computer on off. This situation applies, so you can use it if you want to.

A bit defensive no? :P It's a pretty cool idea, but I have to agree that an arcade pushbutton is just as good, and simpler IMHO. Plus, if you really want some LEDs, grab some 20 cent leds, resistors, and wire them up. You just built an arcade machine, I'm pretty sure you can solder up some LEDs. ;)

Yep, just call me defender. :P Besides, I live in a computer wasteland. I hear about "new" products about the time that they're getting put onto a clearance shelf in most places. The more kewl shtuff I can hear about on here, the better my life becomes.

Hey, I'm glad you found this for me. I'm going to get 2 of them.
Even if you don't use it in an arcade cabinet it's nice to post things that would be useful in an arcade box OR other parts of life.
it did seem kid of like a personal attack saying "i don't see the point" but. whatever. coulda just said "cool, but I accomplished the same thing with this trick...."
bah, don't mean to turn this into one of those flaming threads.. but thanks to the original poster for pointing this gizmo out.
