Smartstrip Question

(1/2) > >>

Knievel:
Thinking about adding one of these to my cab but I never really shut my cpu down.
Would I have to actually turn the cpu OFF to get the rest of my stuff (marquee light, speakers, etc) to turn off or would the computer goin into 'sleep mode' be enough to trigger it?

If not can anyone suggest the best way to have the whole cab go into this 'sleep mode'?

Tailgunner:
No reason you'd have to shut the computer down if you don't want to. Just plug something else into the control outlet.

I'm not sure if the Smartstrip has any outlets that aren't controlled, if not you'll need a seperate outlet to plug your computer into.

Just to let you know, there are several outlets that are not controlled on the smartstrip.

Goz:
The smart strip has 3 constant hot plugs (colored red).

I know that standby and hibernate are enough to shut down the other components...
