So is it gonna be easy?

menace:
As ken said, buy a jamma harness, arcade power supply (if one not already in there) wire up the buttons/joysticks to the appropriate pin on the jamma harness and away you go--should be fairly straight forward.  How much it costs depends on how much you have to work with and how much you want to do--without knowing both, there's no way we can say.  I'd be interested to see how you make out--seems like a neat idea although 2 players is pushing it i think.

why not mame it?

not much space inside? why not stick one of these Mini-ITX motherboards in it.

Ah, the easy question. Because I want to say its real, not just a pc in a box with a mini monitor.

The Jamma harness, how do I hook that up to the monitor (and controls I am quite new at this.)

menace:
Maybe you had better start over and tell us exactly what it is you are working with--whats in the countertop you are converting?  is there a monitor in there, power supply etc?

do a google search on jamma pinout and you'll see what pins are what in the harness.
