Did you miss the funniest scam story of the century?
« on: May 26, 2004, 11:08:12 pm »
I found this story in a recent reply to a scam thread in the BYOAC Buy/Sell/Trade forum. If you haven't read it yet; READ IT, I know it's a long story, but it's totally worth it.

I think I've seen it posted here a couple of times before, but I never took the time to read the thing. I urge everyone to set a few minutes aside and read it - you'll be glad you did!

Thanks for insisting that this is a must read. I saw a link to it on another forum and didn't bother to look at it. After your urging I went back and read the entire thing. Took almost an hour, but it was worth it! PRICELESS!

What did that poor fellow think when he saw the screensavers? If only the screensavers could have been pictures of the P-P-P-Powerbook!

For some odd reason, I'm tempted to build one of these for myself and hang out at Starbucks.

Ya' think anyone will notice?

The original thread of this on SomethingAwful.com can be read here. It runs to 82 pages and will probably take the bulk of the day to get through.
It's well worth it.
