If this is the case, we should set another date. I want to play the classics, not the new stuff.

HeyI just got home from my cottage and unfortunately MPS is right about not being able to get near the classic games.
Now don't forget that is just one floor of 3 buildings I am sure we can find some games to play to make this all worth it and like I said in the past aand MPS stated again there are 2 other arcade at Weirs beach within 1 mile from FUNSPOT.
So MPS ... You gonna find some time to visit with all of us or what..?
The date is set in my book I will be there on June 5th no matter what . It is the only full weekend I will be at the lake in June, due to other weekend commitments.
BTW.. Even if we don't get to play many games that we like I still think it would be great to put faces with names and besides most of the people coming are within a 2 hr ride
If people don't want to come than that is fine we can have another one also 8). However,If we set another date it would have to be in July/Aug for me to be able to attend.
Just my 2 cents
Ed

Yes, I will be up there that weekend. I go to the tournament every year, and I am sure I could break away for a while. I believe there are some other people who have contributed to this forum in the past will be there as well.
Here are some photos from past tournaments on my we site:

I used to live in Shrewsbury, MA up until about a year ago. I recently moved to Philadelphia, and I haven't been back to Funspot since last August. It is one of the things I miss most about New England. I am close friends with the operations manager at Funspot, and I even donated a coin-op & pinball machine to their arcade before I moved.
I have been "lurking" around these boards for about two years now, and never signed up for an account until I saw your messages about a Funspot trip. I certainly don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but they are pretty strict about who goes on the third floor during that tournament.
There are two other arcades down on the boardwalk. There is a third building right on the pier that is mainly kiddie stuff, but I seem to remember them having some coin-ops available.
Perhaps another location could be the Salem Willows Arcade in Salem, MA? Certainly not Funspot, but it is a pretty decent little place.

Dang I was sooo looking forward to going. I can understand the need to do that though. I would attend the tournament but I don't think my skills are of that caliber. :-[
BTW I enjoyed listening to your interview with Cindy Morgan at work a few weeks ago. Very interesting stuff... I wanted to listen to more but the others were in real audio format which I couldn't get to work on Linux.
