Paige bought a camera, Star Wars cockpit pics here!
paigeoliver:
You all missed the heck out at the St. Louis auction. Best auction ever, 4 complete rows of machines. Some fully working decent 19" machines went for $50, and some fully working 25" machines went for $125. There were 4 complete rows of machines, and hardly any junk (no "dead row" at all).
I brought my Space Firebird mini mame to sell. My buddy and I snuck my mini into the first row while they were selling the slot machines. It went for $400, which was fine by me.
I bought a complete Atari Basketball with perfect bezel, interior bezel artwork, rusty control panel, 2 4" trackballs, a working 23" B&W monitor, manual, and clean boardset inside. The game does not work, but I only paid $5, and there were $6.25 in quarters inside.
I got a very dirty, but complete (and actually in pretty nice condition under the dirt), Stunt Cycle for free. It also has a working monitor, but has not otherwise been troubleshooted.
I bought a nice, fully working Road Blasters upright in the dedicated Atari System One cabinet with perfect control panel and perfect yoke. Price was $150
BUT HERE IS THE SCORE RIGHT HERE!
Parked across the street from the auction was a sort of rednecky type guy towing a trailer, on that trailer were 3 redemption games, and a Star Wars cockpit. To make a long story short, I bought a complete Star Wars cockpit for $150 and it looks like the only thing that appears to be wrong with it is a blown up resistor on the AR II board. (Had a vector expert buddy with me who checked it out for me).

SoOoooO... jealous.... >:(
Nice score Paige. Congrats! 8)
HaRuMaN:
You are my hero. If only there were some good auctions around where I live... :-\
pointdablame:
awesome score paige, I'm jealous. I can't wait till I'm out on college with a (hopefully) steady income. I've heard there are some pretty good auctions in NJ, so hopefully I'll luck out one with a score like that one day too.
BTW, where was this, just out of curiosity?

It was in Belleville, IL. Nearest major city is St. Louis, which is why it is called the St. Louis auction.
Some other nice buys I saw.
Multi-Pac $500
Capcom Bowling in beautiful Gottlieb cabinet covered with PERFECT "Bowling lane" style laminate. $125
Fully working Bombjack in decent shape $50.
Baby Pac (complete minus playfield glass) $50 (belonged to a friend of mine, and he was mad about it).
Gyruss $125
Time Pilot $100
Monaco GP mini playing blind, $50
Weird stuff I saw.
Cherry Master in dedicated Domino Man cabinet with all artwork (didn't catch price).
Cherry Master in Kangaroo (painted over).
Some stupid conversion in a color sideart Tapper with full artwork in good shape.
Atari Football converted to Capcom Bowling (with an upright kit, rather than the cocktail kit).
People paying too much.
$450 Donkey Kong 3 (belonged to a friend of mine, who wasn't there to see it sell, and could not believe the price).
$800 Some sort of DEAD Cherry Master in a new cabinet (was the last vid of any type sold).
$185 (each). There were a pair of brand new (but empty) countertop cabinets that sold for $185 each. Crazy stupid.
$400+ the first of 5 Road Blasters went over $400, none of the other ones topped $175.
$1300 Ms Pac with all repro artwork. Was only "too much" because you could have bought the $500 multipac, AND all the repro artwork, and still has a couple hundred left over.
