Pacman Yellow
Bitnerd:
I am going to do the wood glue and filler thing on my pacman cabinet this weekend to get it ready for the paint. At first I was going to have Sherman Williams mix the exact colors with some codes I found on the net but I think I am gonna test some spray can stuff first. Picked up a can of Rustoleum Sunburst Yellow at the hardware store. (thought that one was the closest match although I might be wrong) Going to hit one of the edges lightly with it just to see how close it is. If that doesn't work, then I will try safety yellow. If none of it works then i guess I will go visit Sherman Williams and invest in an airbrush. Anyone else ever try to match paint before?

It's not safety yellow, nor is it sun yellow. I don't have the codes handy, but I can tell you that much.

Well, I am going to go ahead and do a test patch tonight. I can always paint over it right? Looks like I will have to do the color codes though. Thanx for your input.

Good info.

The problem is with the color codes, the paint is a match of NEW paint, not paint that has been on a cab for 23 years, unless you are planning on painting the whole thing over?
Best bet may be to try and chip a little piece away from the back somewhere, take it in and have that color matched.
Just my $.02
