What are the best emus for 15khz in windows?
« on: April 13, 2025, 06:32:51 pm »
So im setting up my final cabinet for me, and im using hyperspin for the front end, groovymame with an r5 430 amd video card and a rgb moded tv for the display, all looks good, but i was using retroarch for the console games, and to be honest it really dosnt feel good enought, so i was wondering if you guys will share, what are the best current emulators to setup my game cabinet. Thanks for the help.

I'll have a very limited answer which will only focus on CRT compatible emulators, i.e. those that have switchres integrated :
- groovymame
- retroarch
- emu4crt
- 86Box4crt
- pcem4crt

100% switchres compliance certified

Right now I have a Hyperspin setup for light gun games and I've integrated quite a few emulators all running in 320x240, as is my desktop.

- GroovyMAME
- Hypseus Singe
- model 2 emluiator
- Flycast
- Teknoparrot

Then I also have the following games that are just running the windows executable

- Silent Hill: The Arcade Game
- Friction

Some people (including me) might do not like too much RetroArch but it works with super resolutions so besides groovymame it's second best option especially for consoles and computers. It has flycast which is the best emu for naomi/naomi2 in my opinion.

Second will fork of mednafen - emu4crt. This time for Saturn/STV emulation.

Model 2 emulator.

PCem4crt - fork of PCem.
