Hello
I can add pictures (currently not in the same room as my CRT). I have a Sony KV-27FS13. I also have an average machine using a Radeon HD 5770 (I also have a R9 280X). I'm using a VGA to Component cable to connect to the Trinitron. I got this cable when I purchased a MiSTer Analog IO board but I'm no longer using with the current version of the MiSTer IO board as it uses a different connector. I've installed Windows XP, patched the GPU with Atom-15 and set it for both 15Khz and 31Khz (the secondary 4:3 monitor I have for the initial setup or troubleshooting). The patch seems to be successful enough to see the desktop being duplicated on the CRT.
My issues occur when I try installing GroovyArcade. The CRT will behave the same way it would if you're using a 480p or 50Hz on a consumer NTSC CRT. I'm able to use pictures from GA tutorials to see the correct options to pick but the screen doesn't seem to want to correct itself.
I then decided to include my TVOne C2-400 Scaler to get the computer to output properly (240p) onto my CRT. Although my TV will display it now, the resolution is very blurry. Almost like Composite or bad S-Video quality.
Are there any bits of information that isn't openly mentioned for Sony Trinitron owners? KV series owners? Any tips that I may have failed to know when using Atom to patch my GPU? Is there a specific cable I should be using? I'm also aware that there's a TV One DVI-to-RCA Component Video Adapter, which I may want to use with my R9 280X since it has Analog DVI but no VGA outputs.
I've been using the standard CRT emudriver guide as well as the GroovyArcade guide from the Arch wiki.
