Big Buck Hunter red screen error.
« on: October 28, 2024, 09:11:23 pm »
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to repair a Big Buck Hunter green card that has been stopped for many years, owned by a friend of mine. There was therefore corrosion damage on the PCB. Once the PCB was cleaned, we re-soldered the disconnected IC's pins, replaced the sockets of u15, u22, u53, u117.

Finally, we turned on the card but the boot stopped at the red screen of hardware and software incompatibility.
We think u61 probably got damaged by the large amount of corrosion.

Is it possible to know if it is available or if there are instructions for replicating it?

The game is Big Buck Hunter: Shooter's Challenge (AKA Big Buck Hunter v1.5)

u53: BB15-US
u15: v 1.02
board: s/n 040595
thanks for your time

Best Regards
Paolo

Can anyone please tell me if in this error screen it is normal for the Key code detected to be in alphanumeric characters? (Key Code #fcffff32)
Looking in the forum, I saw other screens like this but all with the Key Code expressed only in numbers..... thank you.

Greetings
Paolo
