OG Play pinball because you are a boy
bobbyb13:
Thank you gents!
So many parts had already been swapped out by the time I got this thing that at least reconstructing the bug eaten carcass seemed appropriate, but other than that I'm only replacing the lamp driver board with a new Alltek so that I can run warm white LEDs in it.
When I saw I could also get a new playfield to replace this slightly chewed but worn and yellowed one then it was game on.
The guys at CPR up in the GWN were great to deal with and the playfield really is a thing of beauty.
Of course at the rate things are going there may be no original wood left by the time I'm done though.
AlienInferno:
Just want to jump in and say this thing looks great. One of the pins I'd love to have. Good job so far. I'll be checking for updates.

Thank you!
I'm looking forward to playing it again before the kids need to figure out to do with the loft full of arcade machine crap!
So for the latest installment we have an entirely crap-tastic part of this machine that I had not previously been aware of because SOMEhow this freaking thing worked and I was entirely unfamiliar with the power supply for Bally machines this vintage.
Holy ---steaming pile of meadow muffin---.
Pardon the aspect ratio thing I can never sort out will happen or not, but...
I can't believe this machine ran with this trash in this state.
And people wonder why these machines have problems.
I spent (once again!) more than I should on connectors and a replacement board (the backside of it is even worse) to get rid of this roasted piece of fiberglass and parts.
Yeesh.
Wish I had time to work on the damn thing- or for most anything fun at all lately really.
SUPER close to quitting my adult life and coming up with something else to while the time away.
Mike A:
You don't like extra crispy connectors?
Those cost extra.
Zebidee:
This was one of my favourite machines as a kid. There was no single feature that grabbed me, but for some reason very engaging to play.
Not saying it was the scantily clad pretty ladies, but they sure didn't hurt :D
Great to see you taking the bold move and getting into pins Bobby. Following!
