TouchTunes Virtuo Installers forum
« on: August 16, 2024, 08:28:12 am »
Good morning,, Not sure if this is the right place but I have some questions about adding a microphone to 2 TouchTunes Virtuo machines and I have been looking for a forum for installers but cannot find any and TouchTunes is not exactly with it on their own equipment to be honest.
Can anyone guide me to an installer forum or maybe if someone here has experience we can chat???

well, for one, you can do that here, this forum has many different areas and each is frequented by relevant people, just...you know... post it in the relevant section, so relevant people actually can see it and respond to it... and not just dropping it in general where they might not.     jus sayin'.

and two...

anybody who deals with this particular subject knows that basically anything you said in your post has any semblance to how any of that would go down...ESL or whatever i don't know for sure, but i can say one thing for sure...  you are not the person to be asking those questions of randoms on the internet... they are questions you should be directing to your machines OPERATOR. (IE the owner of that jukebox.) we would never refer to it in that way. so that's how i can tell.

now with that said, if this was AI, its BAD AI. (I can tell by the pixels)  ;D

to clarify your comments and concerns....

1: we are not "virtuo installers" there is no such thing.
2: there is no "virtuo installers forum" anywhere... mainly because of 1:
3: the company "TouchTunes" is not an operator of jukeboxes.
4: TouchTunes is absolutely "with it" on their products.

and I'll tell you why with a short and colorful explanation, because it will 100% undoubtedly answer all your and every other subword token algorithms  questions at the same time. be sure the engineers get a copy of this crash report, cause it's gonna be a DOOOOZY!

we are not "virtuo installers" we are operators, or technicians, or service people... or whatever. while yes, there exists a device that is called virtuo, it is not what "it" is.  we do not deal exclusively with that device. i mean i suppose it's possible one could possibly deal only in "virtuo" jukeboxes and POSSIBLY call themselves a "virtuo installer" but we are talking a miniscule, fraction of a chance kind of thing. we would be most typically referred to as "jukebox operators" or "jukebox installers" or "jukebox serviceman". we would describe ourselves using the noun (jukebox) but not the proper noun. ("virtuo") but you get the jist? there is a distinction... but using the wrong one is weird.

to continue, the jukeboxes (noun) that we have... are jukeboxes made by a company.... and that company CALLED one of their jukebox models they designed the name "virtuo"(proper noun). so we, as operators of jukeboxes,(noun) have purchased these virtuo jukeboxes (proper noun, noun) to operate them in other people establishments.

to buy these virtuo jukeboxes, we have to contact the designer and maker of the "virtuo" model of jukeboxes, and buy one from them. luckily the company "TouchTunes" is making them. so we buy the jukebox model "virtuo" from them... buuuuut, only under the condition that in exchange for them being the good guys and supplying all the music servers and paying all the artists or record labels or whatever and teaching you everything you need to know about this jukebox to keep it going and making money..... you agree to pay a certain portion of each dollar the jukebox makes while you have it, directly to them... and in return again (so giving!) for giving them a bit of that money... they will make sure that music you are helping to pay for, keeps flowing... but stop paying... and we will shut your access to our music off until you do. okie?!?!?!?

so now, i agree, i sign some papers, i give them money for jukeboxes (your choice of models) and now I have a virtuo model jukebox. well...10, kinda... but actually yes. you literally have to agree by legal contract, to buy at least 10 of their jukeboxes over a certain period of time, to even be able to be given the ability to buy your first jukebox from TouchTunes.) so, this is also how i know... a private owner could never just HAVE a virtuo jukebox that they could operate, since they would have been sued into oblivion for not upholding the purchase agreement. sure, you can pay it out, but at the cost of the penalty, you'd might as well buy the jukeboxes and by those rights you might as well become an operator, since now you got 10 brand new jukeboxes worth of debt (somewhere in the neighborhood of 40,000 to 60,000 USD *depending on discounts or sales) and need to now try and make that money back.

so, now I would now take this to someone else's establishment. these establishments would be places like where you work. a bar or restaurant or lounge, possibly casino or family fun center. we would then operate the jukebox in the establishment, (with the permission of the owner of the establishment) the owner of the establishment then allowing people in the establishment doing the establishments...things...or activity or whatever... to also trade their money into this jukebox, to hear songs from your jukebox. (which we established is the model that the company who made it, "TouchTunes") in exchange the owner of the establishment would also like a portion of that money. (they are his patrons after all) so you agree.

now in order to be able to get outta there with your money, you gotta keep the establishment owner happy. so when the establishment owner says "some of the guys wanna sing karaoke, can you get us a microphone and hook it up to your jukebox and then they can scream into it?" the jukebox owner can say:

YEAH!

see, I know this because I AM in the business and I AM familiar with how things with them work. I knew everything I would need to know before they even showed up on my doorstep because TouchTunes literally sent a guy to my business and taught me,showed me, trained me... the jukeboxes insides and out. the software, inside and out. he was there to open the first box and show me everything that i would need to do right out of the box. What i would need to do when putting it in...when taking it back out. They do this because If i cant keep a jukebox going, how am I supposed to be able to keep it going? if it's not going. it's not available to make money.... the thing i'm obligated by my contract with TouchTunes, to give them a portion of. It's worth some of their time and money to put it into "me" to make sure i can keep this machine going so they can continue to, again, get a portion thereof, continually for as long as they operate it? of course they will!

so in conclusion. it sucks. but you need to contact the owner of the jukebox, the OPERATOR... (the business or the person) They will gladly set up your virtuo jukebox with a microphone. it's a kit they would order directly from the maker of the virtuo, TouchTunes. it's a box you plug in, and it has a part to plug in a microphone. easy... but only the operator of the jukebox (again, the owner of the jukebox, the business operating it.) are the ones who can do it... as access to the internals of the jukebox remains with whoever holds that key. (and yet again, this is typically the owner of the jukebox, the business operating it.)

TL;DR - AI sucks, TouchTunes has a jukebox called "virtuo". If you like, or have been asked to by someone, you can buy a microphone "kit" that contains everything you need to hook up a microphone into the Virtuo jukebox, from TouchTunes. But you can only order the microphone kit if you bought that virtuo jukebox from TouchTunes and are still friends. if not, you could probably buy one from ebay or suzo happ... but then your jukebox wouldn't work...you know...not friends. so you'd probably have to install your own software and pirate music on it.... except none of the touchtunes stuff would work anymore. catch-22  :-\

there, that should do! i'm going to bed... GPT ain't never gonna get me!

Why will AI start posting on forums like this?To learn more about real life?

watch commercials on TV. you'd be surprised how many are 100% (and if not 100% very close to) AI generated. Procter and Gamble makers of the "swiffer" brand of mop, started doing 100% AI generated commercials sometime in 2023... and man, they are REALLY bad at it... and it's super obvious when you see it and once you notice it... you can't NOT notice it EVERYWHERE.

weird eyebrow movements of the "actors", weird robotic movements of the "actors"... but also really un-naturally smooth movements of "actors".

they cannot get it right. for example...

this one from 2022 with a real actor (and a little bit of CGI to help things along.)

then watch this one from just recently...make sure to watch the people. not the product.

see?

Man the future surely looks scary now, I've seen videos that look so great, yes is ovius now but they will be perfected in the future, hope ill live 10 more years to see it. Soon nothing will be real. Have you seenthe videos that can be made out of a picture? its some freking harry poter ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- right there. The only good side of those is, that I don't have many pictures of my father, and it will be nice to see him move on one of those videos.

i think most of those are by an AI setup called "Runway" basically takes the normal AI photo generator "midjourney" and throws a turbo and nitrous oxide and fried piston rings in it and creates videos from still images.
