Last Thursday I went to a friend's place to work on his new net chassis, when he originally got it it came with a cracked neck board. He had a CRT repair guy patch up the neck by bypassing the broken traces with wires. This worked for a while but eventually he lost the green color, I finally went there and redid all the patch work. When we went to try out the redone trace work on the neck board we got arching at the anode cap. I shut it down immediately as to not damage anything. I did notice that the anode area had no dielectric grease, I had him get some at an auto shop. Once we did this we got no arching but we also got no energizing of the flyback transformer. We turned off the light and noticed we did have neck glow despite everything. Just wondering if anyone had an issue like this before? Did we blow a fuse? I checked all the big fuses and none was blown. Maybe there is a micro fuse somewhere? I find it weird because all I did was redo the patch work neater but did not touch the chassis itself at all. Any help is appreciated, I will link a video of the neck glow and attach some pictures of the neck board rework.
