How do you fasten your control panel?

Do you use screws to fasten your control panel down to the box/frame/ect? Are the screws visible from the top?
I like teh idea of hidden screws but would like your opinion.

Hinges and control panel clamps.

I have a cabinet kit that uses euro hinges on the inside. While convenient, there was play side to side and back and forth if we leaned on it. So I put threaded inserts into the control panel box and screwed the control panel down with one black machine screw at each corner. The screws are well out of the playing area, the black color looks unobtrusive, and the control panel is tight as a drum and doesn't move an inch.

Hinges and control panel clamps.

This is the way - though it is possible to get good results and easy access underneath without a hinge too.

Use "toggle latch" or "pull down" clamps, they hold the CP down very tight. With the clamps inside, there is nothing to mar the CP surface and the cab can be made totally secure with a locked door.

Mounting them underneath the CP and inside the cab is a bit tricky, you'll probably need to bend the latching piece by 90 degrees. In a recent build, I made custom latches by bending some pieces of ~1x6cm pieces of scrap steel into a C shape. Then got them welded on at the same time as the piano hinge.

There are many clamp design variations. Here is a short video featuring one kind. It is similar to the ones I used last time.
