Leaf Switch Buttons - Shorter travel?

(1/2) > >>

Oldskool:

I love my leaf switch buttons, but was thinking of making spacers to shorten their travel a bit.

It would be fairly easy to do as they could slip onto the plunger, and would be retained by the e-clip.

Anyone tried this?

Just make the gap between the leaf switch smaller.

I'm actually referring to adding spacers to reduce the travel of the button (regardless of switch activation).

If the total travel is 1/4" (I'm guessing), I'd like to decrease it to at least half that .

A 1/8" spacer would do the trick.

Emberassing - I always think that this is one of the special things I love at my leaf-buttons!  :o

Though I have to admit triggering with microswitch-buttons is much easier.

Oldskool:

I added o-rings to my leaf switch buttons, and it has so far been great.

There's less travel, and the rubber cushions the button as well.
