JVL Retro cf format - solved
« on: November 13, 2022, 03:16:35 pm »
First time having to replace a cf in a Retro.  I've got the program to put the image on the cf and the correct program but am curious what format the cf needs to be in.  I know Windows will not see Linux files and if course if I put the old cf into my windows computer it wants me to format it.  However I put the new one in and it'll assign a drive to it and show it bring empty.

I really don't want to put the cf back in, reassemble the game only to find out I needed to format the cf differently so hopefully I can get some reassurance.  The cf is currently fat32.

I figured it out.  Need to back up the image onto the cf.  Now on to other problems.   :laugh2:
