Wow, that is a neat design. Sucks for testing things out in circuit though. So I'd assume that the card on the right side would be some sort of power delivery card, and the other two would be logic and sound? Might be some dirty contacts where the cards slide into the rack system. Try cleaning the contacts and see if the situation changes. That is cool that it is an opto for the coin as that game looks very early 80s to me. Have you looked at the forum that PL1 posted?

Looking closer at the thread with the PDFs, there are pictures of the three PCBs.
Are your PCBs the same as those?
