HB MAME or MisfitMame on Retropie?

Is there a way to run HBMame or MisfitMame on Retropie?

Id assume you could compile hbmame from source like regular mame.? Earliest version is 0.121. Not sure how performance with hbmame roms is vs mame roms. Newer mame versions than 0.106 require more performance due to a video change.

Are you willing to help with your suggestion? I don't know how to compile anything with mame.
