Raspberry Pi 4 is out

I'm afraid of sounding too harsh if I say that you definitely have no idea of what a pi is really capable of ... NAS, kodi system, home stuff, straming server, control any hardware through its GPIO, camera ... and sooo much more ... just read https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/

Oh look, network appliance type stuff that doesn't require any of the hardware improvements since the Pi 2.

How about no?

Just because it’s capable of all those things, pbj’s Point is still valid. Nobody cares about what the applications for this are, as long as they can play teh romz. Most people in casual conversation don’t mention all the non- gaming uses for the pi’s. All they care about is emulation.

Then it's pretty normal you just consider a pi as an emulation system :) That's a choice, not a worldwide fact ;)

Why don't you highlight where in this thread where myself or anyone else said such a thing.
