whats the oldest person youve seen play DDR?
SirPoonga:
It's funny people think of this as a new fad. It really isn't, many console systems have had dance pads or something simular. Remember the Power Pad for the NES!!!

Because of that episode, I assumed the game was for guys who can't find a woman to dance with.

Hehehehe. Yeah, I guess if that counts as seeing someone playing it, then I take it back. I have seen someone play DDR.

I'm 33 and play it somewhat regularly. Have had import versions for PS1 and 2 since the very first one, as well as the earliest imported pads.
I'm good enough that I don't embarrass myself on the medium level songs, but that's about it. It's enjoyable to play with others of the same level.
I'm actually a dance instructor in real life so I don't really equate good DDR players with being real "dancers," but it's pretty cool to watch the great ones tear it up. As long as they're not holding on to the rail. I've been dancing alot of years and the only dancing I"ve ever seen that involves a rail uses more of a pole. ;)
FWIW, anyone who thinks that "30" is old just doesn't know any better. Any age is what you make of it. I know plenty of stuff boring people in their 20's and cool fun people in their 40's. For me, 33 is just an experienced 20. ;) Which is WAY better than the real 20 was.
