New member here. Looking forward to building my first cabinet.

I just wanted to say hello to everyone.  I found this website through someone on reddit (reddit link: https://www.reddit.com/r/cade/comments/40sg2r/scratchbuilt_tmnt_arcade/) .

After looking at all the pics of everyone's cabinets, I really want to make my first one.  I figure I would make a 4 player cabinet (go big or go home right?).  I don't really have a theme in mind or anything.  Trying to piece together everything in terms of cost and what not.  Still struggling with step 1 (getting approval from the spouse :P).

It's been awhile since my last project (putting a nexus 7 in my car as my stereo system) and need something else to do.  Looking forward to reading through this forum more and more everyday.

The best thing you could do right out the gate IMHO is Buy Saints book (found in the header sticky) It will not only get you off on the right track But will afford you a comprehensive overview of a cab build, And if you are going to get into decasing tvs, take a look at the safety thread, for they are high voltage, under pressure and all around quite dangerous.... Anyway, glad you made it friend. :applaud:

I'd rather go home than go big. Decide exactly what you want/need before you build.

+1

People who make a 4 player cab rarely say they'd build a 4 player again if they had it to do over again.
