Dedicated 4-Player X-Men Side Art
« on: January 04, 2015, 08:33:47 pm »
Finished these up tonight. I know the characters aren't the same as what's on the cabinets from the factory, but as mentioned before, it's because scans of the correct characters don't exist (at least none that have been made public). Only the 6-player and the conversion kit art has been scanned and the character layout from those are what you see here. I was able to acquire high-res scans of the incorrect repro art (the ones that have the X-Men "pattern" in the background that is available to purchase online) but not too many people are keen on that version because the original art from the factory did not have that pattern.

So I used the characters from the high-res versions of that art, removed the patterned background, re-sized the X-Men logo, angled it properly for both sides and added the correct color for the background. Here is the finished product.

Opinions? Thoughts?

Current collection - 28 cabs, 4 pins. (32 machines and not enough room)

Thanks guys. I took some last minute measurements, had to correct some things and the files are now at the printer. I'm going to try and pick up an empty TMNT cabinet at a local warehouse this weekend to use as a project cab for this X-Men art. I've got a PCB, marquee and NOS CPO on the way so stay tuned for how the art turns out.

Yes. Here is everything I have for WWF (does not include the side art)...
