holy derailment batman!
Last season we got over 100" total, but never more than about 30" in one shot, and that doesn't really slow anyone down around here... school wasn't closed although busses stopped picking up kids a couple times. I kind of like the idea of getting buried in snow for a week or two, provided of course I have power, heat, and internet.. I could use a couple weeks of just being forced to be home..
As for the "stage" I am in, I haven't started my second build for myself yet, although I am starting to get the itch. What is bad is when I play mine I am bothered that I have not updated my romset or emulators to the latest versions, which I did for other builds. Thing is, I am about 80% on replacing my mame cab with a well done 2 player cab with the 50" option that allows for full bezel art and even the virtual marquees.. That way I am back to not needing anything else. But then of course I have to eventually get around to doing my sit down cabinet.. I intend to stop there though. It would be cool to have an entire room JUST for arcade, but despite a ton of square footage and plenty of rooms in my house, I really don't have the real estate.. Unless I want to give up the theater room, or dedicate my game room to arcade stuff by getting rid of the pool table, dart board, beer fridge, and lounging area. I like having a spare bedroom and that is already being used for storage. My computer room is too small, and while I could probably renovate my laundry room and make some space, it wouldn't really be room for more than 5 or 6 machines, and is in the basement away from the game room and deck/firepit area.. Not ideal.. Garage is for the shop and I am not giving that up either..

Out of curiosity I was looking for a guide on making a decorative barrel out of pine boards but my google-fu is not strong.
Kept coming up with every other type of barrel & Cooper sites.
Guess i'll have to follow one of those guides if I wanted to make one of these but using pine because it's cheaper & easier to bend.
Alternatively, oak cabinet grade plywood might be easier to bend than Pine.
I've used it to make baseboard and other large pieces of trim for archways & I remember it flexed pretty good when ripped into 5 or 6 inch wide pieces.

I bought a Ky. Bourbon barrel a few months ago to make a barrel of kong cab, but have yet to do anything with it. Will probably concentrate on it next spring.
Removed the bung plug to allow it to dry out and now the shed smells like fine bourbon!
