New cabinet, suggestions/opinions wanted

(1/2) > >>

KuddlKat:
I bought a Cherry Master upright-type cabinet for $100 with the intention of making it into a jukebox.  The cabinet itself is in good shape and the monitor looks decent, so before I turn this into a jukebox I was wondering if anyone had other suggestions for what I could do with it.  (Please, no boat-anchor suggestions.)  Maybe a small MAME cabinet?  Aquarium, even?

For the jukebox I was thinking small-form PC w/ SSD so vibration from 10-12" speakers wouldn't cause problems.  My spouse has some parts from an old Sonic arcade machine he's been keeping around for decades too, so I might go that way.

Kinda big for a jukebox?  I'd MAME it.

Cobolisdead:
The shape of the cabinet sort of reminds me of the Nintendo cabinets. Maybe make it a sort of a Fix It Felix Mame cabinet?  Not a Fix It Felix Jr, but a Fix It Felix cabinet. Sort of like what the original might have looked like.

Malenko:
keep the wood grain, I love it.  Maybe cut a new basic panel, for just spinner games?  Leave a KB and mouse on the top and it can double as a jukebox

KuddlKat:
Looks like the Jukebox is going to have to wait.  I've got my hubby's SegaSonic the Hedgehog board and CP, so I ordered a Jamma harness and I'll cross my fingers to see if it works.

I think I've got the pinouts for the existing wiring harness so I can connect the video, speaker, and power wires when the harness gets here.
