Mala Frontend quit Epsxe with esc???

Hi guys, i am trying to quit the emulator Epsxe with the hotkey attached to ESC. All of my emulator works with that except for PSX emulator (Epsxe). And whenever i click esc i come back to the mala menu, and all i can see is "starting" and the emulator in the background, so i have to use taskmanager to kill it.
How can i make it to quit when i click the ESC button??

Can you map a different key to make the emulator quit that you aren't using like delete or backspace?

It doesn't help because the emulator is still playing in the background... i have to use task manager to kill the process...

Is there a way i can make a hotkey to make it kill the process??
I've downloaded autohotkey but i have no idea how i should begin and how i can exit it from Mala frontend :/
Can you guys help me?
