Why different price for Galaga

(1/7) > >>

Talldude:
Hi There, a newbie here!

I am just starting with all this arcade stuff, and I have decided to first buy a full game of Galaga instead of trying to undertake a buildup with no experience. After I get that game, and understand all aspects, like cabling control etc, I will them make my own.

Ive seen a Full game of Galaga in Arcadeshop.com and also in Mikesarcade.com.  Booth seem to have the same, New Cabinet, new Monitor, new harness etc. But one is almost $600 more expensive. Anybody cares to recommend why this is and which one would be a better option?

Both machines can be found here:

1. http://arcadeshop.com/games.htm $1895
2. https://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=GALAGAUR $2495

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Both state that they include original midway/galaga boards. The one in arcadeshop is the fourth one which is upright. Maybe I am missing something?

One's in Utah the other in Georgia -- so what is the shipping charges to get them to Seattle and does that make the pricing closer or even further apart ?? (ie. does one pad the shipping charges more than the other so they can advertise a lower price but wind up about the same delivered )

HAve you checked the local Craigslist to see if there are any used ones available - might be able to save $1000 or more toward your eventual build by getting a used one in good shape.
