ArcadeVGA - which one is this?
deano7:
Yeah, I've got the correct drivers installed now and Gameex works.
It's been so long since I put my XP version together and I am having terrible resolution issues now too.
The highest my monitor will go under Win 7 is 720X480. I think I could do 800X600 under XP? Anyway, I cannot stretch the picture vertically to use the entire screen as I could in XP.
I have spent all morning on this -- giving it another hour or so before I just put the XP drive back in and call it a day. LOL
I remember having to run some file to get all of the correct resolutions into my MAME folder, looking for instructions on that now at ultimarc. I'll let you know if i have success and then we can compare notes ;-)

having it dump out the ini files is as far as I got. I don't think its seeing them. I put a post up about it and didn't get a single reply. i figured plenty of people must have gone through this by now but i couldn't find any info searching the forum.

My problem is that i get an error when trying to run AVGres...
Error running in win7 64bit clean install = Run time error 339. Component comdlg32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.
Are there any other tools? I think i'd be all set if i could get the resolutions to be correct. ugh.

One suggestion I have is to check your mame path statements on your FE.

you need to grab the file off the web. I think his read me lists the stuff you need. once the runtimes are installed it should work fine. just make sure all the support files it comes with are in the same directory you run it in.
