PC and CRT power switch in 1 happ pushbutton?
whitiex:
I have a smart power strip that will turn the tv off, but the tv doesn't automatically come on when power is restored. I know how to put the PC power switch to a happ pushbutton. but can i wire the CRT tv power switch to the same pushbutton? Thanks for any help!

You've probably already done this, just asking to be thorough.
Have you checked menu settings for "power on resume"?
Have you tried turning the TV on then unplugging it and plugging it back in? On some models unplugging it puts it into auto-on mode, which then allows you to use the smart strip -- several threads on the topic a while back.
IIRC some people have even wedged the TV/monitor power button closed with a toothpick so it's always on. :dunno
There are also diagrams in other threads that show how to wire a DPST ot DPDT momentary switch so you can switch on the TV and computer at the same time. Unfortunately, Double Pole microswitches are very rare, but you might be able to make a leaf-switch stack like this:
Computer1
Computer2
Insulator
TV1
TV2
Maybe RandyT from GGG can add something like this for his ClassX buttons?
He might not move a lot of volume on them, but it would be a really cool option.

mgb:
Assuming your going to open up the TV and modify the on/off switch, you could either try shunting the switch so that the connection is always made or you could wire a double pole double throw relay (DPDT) relay off your power switch so that one set of contacts goes to the PC power and the other contacts would be tied to the TV power switch
whitiex:
there is no power on resume setting, it doesnt turn back on after being unplugged, and holding the power button down doesn't work.
Brutick:
whitiex,
Since your TV will not power on with the button held down, you're going to probably have to do what mgb recommended using the DPDT relay.
