Sony PVM-2530 - will it fit in a defender cabinet?
« on: October 14, 2013, 11:57:53 am »
I have been saving a few Sony PVM-2530 (25") monitors for a mame cabinet for quite some time.  Well, the neighbors moved and left a broken defender cabinet behind. (Repainted for TOTAL CARNAGE lol)  Anyways, the screen is toast, and I am wondering if anybody knows if a 25" sony PVM monitor will fit in this cab?  Any feedback welcomed.

Thanks!

It won't fit according to the dimensions I've seen: 25.75 for monitor and 24.5 for the inside measurement of the cab. It would probably work if you took the monitor out of the frame, though.

those sonys are a good choice if u construct a cab around it , but u wont like to dismantle it . common tvs make much better arcade replacements screens .

Thanks for the responses.  Ended up trading my cabinet straight up with  another local guy for a Special Forces cabinet that had a 25" monitor in it previously.  Bezel should fit nicely, etc...
