Rainfall shower head in the UK

<< < (4/7) > >>

CoryBee:
The hell is that thing?? And how does that help me attach my rainfall head?

Looks like it is moot as even if I can remove the shower head off of the "rope" thing then it wont be able to hold the weight of the new parts without issue. Damn it. Maybe I can find another flat that has a stationary head. Looks as if this hand shower head is very common in europe.

UK shower-heads are a standard size, but I really don't understand why this is such a deal breaker for you.

It's a shower  ??? I don't get it  ??? ??? ???

Showers come out of the box on the wall and then I guess it's up to you what you attach to it.

UK shower heads mount to 1\2" threads same as the US. That is not the issue, the issue is that they are connected down by the faucet and are hanging on the shower wall via some pole instead of directly mounted on the wall above head height.

I have a great power shower, but I wash myself and get out!

I think you should get your place to stay, bring all your shower gear and hire a plumber to plumb it all in and a decorator to re-do everything after. Then when you leave, un-do it all...
