All You Can Arcade on Gizmodo
epetti:
I dont remember seeing this service mentioned on this forum ever although I could've missed it, but did anyone read this article on "the Netflix of Arcade Cabinets":
http://gizmodo.com/netflix-for-giant-arcade-consoles-is-so-crazy-it-just-m-869271632
Good to get exposure for classic arcades regardless.
Ginsu Victim:
$75 a month?!? Yeesh...
BobA:
Guess they couldn't deliver and pay for their site too. Site is already down.
Fursphere:
Probably overloaded.
Since they're turning arcades back into a commercial business, I wonder if the cities will step in and require permits - since basically you could easily put one on location - nothing stopping you.
With how idiots act at pinball shows and arcades shows beating these old machines to death, I doubt this business will last. Its one thing when a kid beats on a machine. Its another when that snot nosed little punk is now 35 and is still beating on the machines like a jerk.
When you drop $1000+ and build / restore the thing yourself, you tend to respect it a bit more.
