Brought home another truckload last night.
Monkeyvoodoo:
I've always had a soft spot for the earlier cabinets. That Sportarama pulls me right back to my childhood.

There was one, huh? Don't care for the black and white Odyssey2 graphics, but that one looks very nice! Ditto on the Deluxe SI.
Didn't know they put other games in the Gauntlet cab. How nice is that PP?
paigeoliver:
That is a Gauntlet conversion, I was just going to stick it in the gameroom for the time being and do a 4 player Gauntlet themed mame on it in the future. However it has a bunch of issues that weren't apparent at first glance, thus I am going to go ahead and start on it right away.
The Pole Position is in fair shape. However I field stripped 4 Pole Positions that were getting trashed about 6 weeks ago (I couldn't save the cabinets, they were 5 hours from home and the truck was already full with the 8 I could save and they were bound for the dump the next day), thus I can upgrade the panel, bezel, marquee, wheel, etc, if I want to. But I already have a working Pole Position cockpit, so I was hoping to sell this one off for $100 to someone, which will hopefully be enough to buy the missing boardset that the Ball Park needs.
I always thought that the early black and white games had a sort of timeless class to them that not even the color classics have. I could imagine being a wealthy CEO some day and having that Ball Park game in my office. I can't be the only one who thinks that way, since a lot of the wealthier high end collectors seem to focus on black and white games.
Both Invaders cabs are missing the monitor chassis, boardset and power supply. So if a basket case donor cabinet doesn't show up then I will either have to run invaders off a 60 in 1 board, or do a little mame, multi-invader thing.
Thenasty:
Once my wife turns into a Saint, that will the day I'll be buying my FAV Arcade Games (Asteroids, SI, PACS & Ms. Galaxian, Galaga and many more) even if it's a fixem-up games.
So, hang on to that Saint of yours. ;D
