SI 727R-DS monitor working?
« on: April 29, 2013, 07:22:33 pm »
I picked up a Konami Lethal Enforcer cab that had this 25 inch monitor and Happ power supply. The guy I bought it off of took the board and said the monitor worked but he didn't have the cable for the power supply. Anyways I found the plug in cable from an extra computer monitor that will plug into the power supply. I plug it in and assumed the molex connector from the monitor connected to a molex connector from the power supply. Once I switch it on I see the monitor flash white but nothing is showing. Will there anything show since there is no board hooked up? Is this worth fixing?
Any help is appreciated,Thanx

doubtful it will show anything until a signal is connected as the levels are set thus

if you look at the neck of the tube and see an orange glow then thats a good sign, obviously and sign of static on the screen face or noise when you power off/on is also a good sign

you could turn up the screen volts on the flyback a little to see if you get a raster

i think you need to get a game board on asap

I finally got a board to test out the monitor. I borrowed my bro inlaws Twin Cobra I helped get him recently.
Well the picture comes on and static through the speakers. The problem is the picture keeps on moving. I played with the remote from the monitor, got it better but I cant get it to stop. Then a loud tick started coming through the speakers so I turned it off. I noticed when unplugging the board it was very hot at the Jamma connector. Is that normal? Also on topic of the monitor,do I just need to keep playing with the remote to get the picture stable or could it be something else wrong?
