Ecostrip Smart Power Strip
So I have been thinking of how to do the "one button to rule them all" with my mame cabinet build. The easiest solution I could find was to get a computer power supply, and have everything powered from it's molex connectors. What if all my accessories do not have a molex connection? This usb smart strip might be an easy solution.
* Plug the power cable into the wall. This will be used to power the strip.
* Plug the usb cable into the computer. This will be used as a trigger.
* Plug the computer into the first power socket on the power strip. This will yield power all the time.
* Plug accessories into any of the other sockets on the power strip. They will only be powered when the computer is on.
Of course, having everything powered from a computer power supply might be best. This is just another option. I found it when researching about the raspberry pi and realized it didn't have a traditional computer power supply.

Most on the forum already use smart strips. Here's mine, PC is in the master outlet and I have my sub and arcade monitors in the slave outlets. LEDs are powered directly from the PC power supply. The Belkin strip cost me around $15, no USB connection on it either.
My "one button to rule them all" just inside the coin door.

I like how the "one button to rule them all" is inside the coin door!
