Stupid Front End Question

Will a Dos based front end run MameWin if you are running it with Windows in the background?

A better question is will a dos fe run in windows. If your in xp/2000 the answer is probably.

As for regular mame it's jsut like dmame only another port, so in theory it should work since it uses the same syntax.

AOS does... all should...

but a question might be why?  
Do you like a dos frontend?  
why not run in pure dos then?  (gains about 10-30fps I hear)

Speed hasn't been a problem for me with MameWin so I am staying with what works best for me....
