Arcadechassis for 14" monitor? Full size or viewable area???
« on: February 08, 2013, 01:37:04 am »
Hi!
I am trying to find a Chassis that will fit my 14" monitor. After searching on ebay I found alot of 13" arcade chassis, but my CRT is taken from a old 14" tv so it may not be able to fill the screen well?
But I am a little insecure about the specs and how they are read/written.. When ppl write about monitors, do they usually write the "full" size or the Viewable size?
I mean, my 14" tv crt, could maybe work with a 13" chassis, just because the viewable area aint axactly 14"?

Other than that, I know that I need to check the impendance on the yoke etc, so I know that chances are none will fit straight away, plug n play, the issue I am having is just that I dont know what size I should look for. If its usually 13" chassis for 14" monitors. But who knows, maybe 13" monitors were more common than 14" in the arcade world? And viceversa in the TV world :) Because I have yet to find a 13" crt tv :)

ah.. hope I made my question clear now.. I rewrote this a couple of times but I could not make myself more clear than this.. neeeed... mooore......c-c-c-ooffffeeeeee. :)

Any tips?

Thanks in advance!!
