Width Of 2 Player Control Panel???

<< < (3/4) > >>

DaOld Man:
I am truly hoping that 19.5" will support 2 players with 6 buttons each. But we shall see.

shponglefan:
I'd go an even 3 feet wide, but that's just me.  I wouldn't do under 30 inches, though.

paigeoliver:
The biggest problem really when you make your control panel too wide and deep is when you move to the next level and start picking up real games. You end up with this one beast of a cabinet that is a way wider and deeper than everything else and ends up being really difficult to incorporate into a dense gameroom. I know, as I have a too wide, too deep mame cabinet that continually foils my efforts to find the PERFECT game room layout.

Dawgz Rule:
30" should be plenty wide for two adults to play comfortably.

Mine is 37" wide (was originally a konami 4-player cab), and I find that to be perfect for 2 players.

I agree with Paige though; it doesn't fit in well with the dedicated stuff. I have always kept it in my office for that reason, instead of in the garage with the others.
