I am working on one just like this one. No video, from either the vga or the svga ports. Trying to see what is needed to replace and reboot the cpu. Any help will be welcomed.

Thank you

it it appears to be working (fans spinning lights on but no video.) it could be bad ram or bad CPU or bad videocard.

check and see if the computer speaker is plugged in... usually it will beep a code at you to let you know what the deal is if its the cpu or ram... but not always.

if the speaker is connected and not making any beeps at you, suspect the CPU. try removing and reinserting it. remove and reinsert the video card. AGP is notorious for bad connections.

check you motherboard for swollen bulged or leaky capacitors. google "bad caps" and see what they look like... you may have a half dozen that need replacing.

otherwise start shopping for a used dell... there is a side thread about swapping to a dell computer in this thread here a few years back.
