Every list I try making with Romlister and with mala's default gamelister has a ton of games that are not playable. I am having difficulties figuring this out to keep Mala's list mint.

what do you mean by "not playable?"

In my mind, "not playable" could mean:
1) the game doesn't even load up.  a (missing/incorrect) rom error
2) the game loads but doesn't see your input, or requires 4 buttons but you have only 2, etc.
3) the emulation is bad and the game can't be played because it crashes or throws junk on the screen, etc.

the solution to each of those is completely different, so we need some details.

Number 1

A rom error message from mame32.

Thanks NOP

NOP, just noticed that you have responded to this question (or similar) quite a few times. None of what I found was able to help though. No matter the commands used I still can't get rid of all of the roms that aren't able to load.

Do you actually have the roms?

Good question, in fact that helped out a lot. Romlister lists "4,997" roms, my rom folder has "3,354" roms. So my issue seems to be that romlister is listing roms that I don't have the files for.
