The Bio-Gun
« on: October 13, 2003, 12:05:33 pm »
Just ordered the Bio-Gun for my project from Liksang.com!
Now, on their site they say that it will work perfectly with mame on crt-screens (like what the arcade monitors are (crt!)), but after I ordered I thought to myself, that I might should have seen inhere what people think about it, if it works properly!!! Well, couldn't find much info on it here, people talk allot about Act-labs though, which isn't my choice of gun, as it freakin' looks like a hairdryer!!! Anyways, does anyone here have any experience with the Bio-guns? I managed to put XP on my arcade now (less hassle than with win98!), so all in all this gun should just be plugged in, and play, right? Monitor is still Hantarex Polo 25" here :) Which reminds me that I contacted the danish hantarex distribution, and asked them for a price on the Hantarex Polo with cga/svga input on it... they wanted sumthing like 1400$ for it... FFS!!! So no new hantarex mon for me, atleast not here from Denmark!!! Does anyone know (btw :D) where to get Hantarex or any other good arcade monitor cheap? Has to be brand new :)
Oh well, wen't a bit of topic there... main question was, what do you think of the Bio-gun? I haven't tested it myself yet, 'coz it will first arrive this friday or something! Hope it's good though, should give some fun hours :)

Cheers!!!

Kevsteele ordered one almost 2 weeks ago so he can add it to the reviews section of his website:

I haven't heard anybody else mention that they have tried it.
