Xin Mo or Zero Delay Encoders?

yep from one terminal end to the other approx 8 1/4 inches

I found 12 inch wires on Ebay that should work for the ZD encoders. If you mounted the encoder close to the centre of your CP they should come close to reaching either side unless the CP is wider than 24 inches. Cost is less than 4 bucks for 10 wires and some female connectors. I'd say that's a pretty good deal. Of course you'll have to wait until they are shipped from Hong Kong which may take a month!

I know that Vigo will sell you some extra wires if you need them but I believe that they are still only 8 inches long. Here is a link to the discussion about setting up two players using one board -> http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,114744.msg1216914.html#msg1216914

I'm going to try this myself when my board arrives!

Good luck!

Player 3:
If I'm going to have to get two ZD encoders, a single Xin Mo would save $4.50 and allow more buttons with possibly longer cables than 8". That may be the better choice.

1 Xin Mo:           $25.00
2 ZD Encoders: $29.50

Vigo:
Hi Player 3! Let me know if you have any specific questions for me. I know for cable extensions, I refer people to get these if needed:

They should double the length. Otherwise, just extending the wires by snipping into them works as well.

Regarding the price, I just wanted to point out that the ZD Arcade price does include shipping in that, at least in the US. For international, I just add in the difference cost in shipping. it is usually only a buck or two more. I think the Xin Mo doesn't include shipping cost. For me the shipping on the Xin Mo is $6

Thanks!
