I've done everything Scott, but fireballs just wont go, i've bended the edges of the switch, a bit, some more... and no fireballs come out.
So frustrating :(

did you address this issue? it looks like you have the stick out, why not temp mount it on something with a large hole and test it that way?

The stick that is not assembled on those pictures is a spare one I have, I've tested in Robotron the diagonals work, but in any Street Fighter I cant do any special move with diagonals in it. Plus I've tested in player 2 whose stick is well centered and its the same story. I'm starting to believe that the sticks just aren't so good, and they must be some 10 years old. Oddly they resemble the Happ super joystick, so the owners of those sticks should be complaining the same...
I changed the restrictors on top and bottom of joystick with all possible combinations and still no special moves.
Do you any recomendation for a good stick to buy?
Thankx :(

If the diagonals work OK in even one game, it means the switches are functioning properly and the actuator is pressing 2 switches at a time.  This rules out a hardware problem with the joystick, but not necessarily with the wiring/board.

Are you using a multi-jamma switching setup (multiple game boards) or an X-in-1 setup (1 game board with X games)?
(X-in-1 board rules out hardware/wiring, but not software/firmware problems)

Are you ABSOLUTELY sure there isn't some other configuration issue (DIP switch or software setting) that isn't the cause?

If it's not hardware . . . and its not software . . . . ::)

I'm using an Xtimer to Jamma board. An xbox with coinops4 running.
This one:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XBOX-console-Time-control-timer-board-for-XBOX-console-to-Jamma-cabinet-game-/271004944830?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET&hash=item3f192749be#ht_10335wt_1344

And I'm starting to believe that the joystick is just plain crap... I see that lots of people prefer the IL Eurostick to this IL Compact Joystick that I have...
I'm seeing good reviews also on the sanwa JLF, but dont see how to conect that stick with a jamma with that kind of interface...
