Quick Question on Coin Door
phyrosis:
ok, i took a quick pic of one of my coin mech, without the security box to hold coins just to show you the diffrence.
see how there is the metal coin mechanisms there, it will then register the coin and drop it down through that ugly looking tan box, and drop it into the coin box below. underneath the tan box is the coin return slot, that part with the sticker there is the cheater catcher, it grabs anything that is not a authorized weight and size. this one was pulled from a old cabinet at a arcade. door and all
Mysterioii, frames alone are hard to come by, it would be better to custom fabricate one from wood or heavy steel.
paigeoliver:
You can install them without the frames in a home project as long as you cut carefully. However ideally you should get the frame with the door (for some reason loose doors are way more common than loose frames).
I have some spare mechs, so I could sell you a set if the door you get is missing them.

this is because when people take it apart to salvage they get rammy and break the frame off to get the door out.
paigeoliver:
Actually i think it is operator thinking, they unscrew the door from the frame because all the fixy parts are attached to the door.
phyrosis:
seen both, personally i like to work on them while they are in the frame, and removing the frame and all from a cabinet is very easy.
