How do i set resolutiuons for certain games with calamity drivers?
abispac:
Ive been using this calamity drivers with groovymame so far so great....only have one dubt. If i start pacman , i get a scrolling image, but if i start mr.do image its just fine, so i wonder how can i set mr.do resolution into the pacman game so i get the same result.I have tested this manualy and it seems to work just fine, so i guess i eaither need to create a custom ini file for pacman or modify somentihng. Im not very picky on how pacman looks with the modyfied resolution, as its playable and looks ok so please just help me get that mod resolution into pacman, thanks for any help.
Calamity:
Hi abispac, consider adjusting the monitor's v-hold potentiometer (vertical frequency), that's were the problem is probably.
Anyway, just use the same options as you did manually but into an ini for that specific game.
abispac:
Adjusting the monitor its not an option as is always closed, the ini file sounds better, but i dont know what the content of that file should be, is it as simple as creating a txt file ading -r XXXxXXX@59.94 and savinv as pacman.ini and place that into the ini folder....let me try that but if im wrong please tell me how its done via ini file, thanks.
Calamity:
I mean that your current v-hold adjustment is wrong. You should find one that covers the whole frequency range you're using, and then keep the cab closed forever.
For the ini file, yes it's like you're saying, but make sure the res you write actually is available in your system (check Arcade_OSD), type it like this (refresh as integer):
resolution 400x256@60

found a piece of software on ultimarc, i used that to create custom resolution inis then i modified them to my needs, that did the trik, it dosnt look perfect but what ealse can i ask for to run a vertical game on a horizontal monitor. thanks for the help.
