Wait a minute.  I know that hand.  It was in the fall Bulova Watch Catalog.  You're J.P. Prewitt.  The world's greatest hand model.

AndyWarne:
Frankly this thread is a mess.
What the OP has not mentioned is that I have been assisting with this via email so in fact posting here does not really add any value.

But, what he is trying to do makes sense. He will end up with a configurable control panel which can easily be switched over from PC to Xbox 360 and plugs into the JAMMA harness. No hacking, wiring or anything else.

The problems he has run into are as follows:

You cant reprogram keycodes on a J-PAC through the Xbox 360 adaptor! The J-PAC must be connected directly to the PC.

When connecting the J-PAC to a PC you cant use a PS/2 to USB converter (not mentioned here). The J-PAC is already a USB device so you would be trying to convert twice. The small adaptor plug pictured above will work, and the J-PAC will run as a USB device using this.

MTPPC:
I couldn't care less about how you get your ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- wired. Hacking, adapters, easy changeout, blah, blah, blah. People have tried to help you and you pay them back by saying how you like stirring them up. Your j-pac isn't programming because you aren't using it correctly. I don't even know why you are asking for advice when you give terrible details on what you've done and then act as if you know it all and ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- on anyone who tries to help you.

The post above says it all and Andy Warne has already wasted way too much time on you and your problem. And frankly so has anyone else reading this.
