Hyperspin admin buttons for control cabinet

Can any Hyperspin users tell me what dedicated admin buttons I should include on my control panel? I'm agonizing over it.
I'm referencing this page on the hyperspin site:

Here's what I think so far:
* Start (enter)
* Exit (esc)
These are all taken care of with the joystick:
* Spin Up (Analog Up)
* Spin Down (Analog Down)
* Previous Letter / Index (Analog Left)
* Next Letter / Index (Analog Right)
These are all taken care of with the player 1/player 2 buttons (my design uses 8 buttons for each player):
* Skip Back By Number (Button 1)
* Skip Ahead By Number (Button 2)
* HyperSpin (Button 3)
* Genre (Button 4)
* Favorites (Button 5)
I'm also going to have admin buttons for Mame and other emus:
* player 1 credit
* player 1 start
* player 2 credit
* player 2 start
* pause
* system power
I've seen people use "tools", "admin", and "reset" buttons. Are they necessary? Is there anything I'm missing? Is there anything you'd argue against?
I'd appreciate any insight!

Hmm so if you guys dont have any admin buttons do you use the player buttons and program them with shift keys?

Yes, how do you exit emulators and hyperspin itself without at least an <escape> button?
